The preparation and the constant chess match you have with who you are playing. Also the fact that actually get to see the kids grow up right before your eyes. You get to see the true meaning of “hard” and watch the kids overcome it and become better humans for it. But the biggest is getting calls 12years later from former players just so they can thank you!

Life is hard, no one will give you anything. If there is something you want, work, and take it!

There’s too much for me to cover on this. I love football for more than what it is. Set up an interview one day. The following would be my main points: Football was an outlet for me and taught me how to use my hard head for a good cause. It makes life seem simpler and provides a way for me to give back to the community while also giving me some anger management therapy. Partially joking. But it’s the life lessons that you have to give to young men who are about to reach adulthood and setting up themselves up for their lives through academics and building a solid work ethic. Mental toughness is something that is important to me as well.

Be humble, play with a chip on your shoulder, keep your head on a swivel, fix the little things, and be smart.
